Kadrix is a desktop AI video editor for Windows. You type natural language directions like 'make it cinematic' and Kadrix re-cuts, re-grades, and re-scores your edit — all on your local machine.

Does Kadrix replace Premiere or DaVinci?

Kadrix is a real timeline (layers, keyframes, color, transitions, masks, 3D, audio) with an AI director on top for the first 80%: assembly, smart cuts, color base, and motion graphics.

What runs on my machine vs in the cloud?

The editing, generative motion rendering, transcription (Whisper), object and face detection (YOLO, DeepFace) and final MP4 export all run locally. The AI director that plans your edits runs in the cloud, so it works on any Windows machine — no big GPU required.

Does Kadrix upload my footage?

No. Your video files stay 100% on your PC. Kadrix only sends small sampled frames and text descriptions to plan edits. Your work is never used to train AI models.

What are the system requirements?

Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) and an internet connection for the AI director. Heavy generative scenes render faster with a dedicated GPU, but a modern laptop is enough to edit.
